Ezra and Associates, LLC is a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and is registered with the United States Federal Government System Award Management (SAM). At Ezra and Associates, LLC, we are backed by more than 50 years of market research, retail development, economic development, financial planning and strategy development within the real estate investment, utility, and retail industries.

Today the family business leader is Dr. Dwayne L. Tutt. His advanced graduate school education and expertise have been in the areas of Economics. He holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Kentucky and a Masters in Theological Studies from Hood Theological Seminary. He also holds a Th.D. from Newburgh Seminary.

Dr. Tutt has built multi-million dollar business plans for public and municipal utilities. He has studied and developed risk models for a major home improvement company and supermarket chains. He is an expert in Quantitative Risk Analysis and writing SAS Code, has written statistical code to identify hot spots for retail development and developed risk models to help publicly traded companies understand which investments have more risk than others. He is licensed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission and is a Broker in Charge. Ezra and Associates, LLC is a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of REALTORS® (CRCBR), NC REALTORS®, and the National Association of REALTORS®.

Over his career, Tutt has led in the Site Selection, Acquisition, Build to Suit, NNN Ground Leases, Self Developed and Fee Developed of over 50 grocery anchored shopping centers and home improvement companies. He has managed retail portfolios which included hundreds of stores.

Rev. Dr. Dwayne L. Tutt

Senior Economist and Broker-in-Charge

Dr. Dwayne L. Tutt is the owner of Ezra & Associates, LLC, established in 2013, and its subsidiaries.

Educational Background:
Dwayne earned degrees in Government / Economics from Morehead State University in Morehead, KY. He also earned his MS in Economics from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY, his MTS in Religion from Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, NC, and his Th.D. in Religion from Newburgh Theological Seminary in Newburgh, IN.

Interests:
Dwayne is a United States Chess Federation B Level Chess Player. He loves to read and has done extensive research on the economics of slavery in the US. He has thoroughly studied the Theology of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of North Carolina. Dwayne's favorite quote is from Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly”. Most people know of Dr. King as a theologian, but Dwayne feels Dr. King believed many of the problems in society were based in economics as it relates directly to income inequality and a lack of education. Many of Dr. King's speeches had messages of economics that were tied to his religious thought. Dwayne too believes that education and economics can be used to solve many of society’s ailments.

Dr. Tutt is an economist and theologian. He has also served as faculty at the University of Southern Indiana, University of Kentucky Community College System, Livingstone College, Western Carolina University, and has served as lecturer at many colleges and universities.

COS is for Community Organizers to help restore and build stronger communities through the power of land investments and improvements to the land.

COS works with Community Organizers such as pastors, social workers, politicians, college students and local government agencies to evaluate local real estate conditions and guide communities to economic development. Specifically, we study the local housing, local shopping centers, and other economic factors in communities with the goal of creating affordable housing and community improvements.

COS has helped churches buy and sell land and improvements.

COS has helped members of churches buy their first homes and with zero down through major financial institutions.

COS has helped young college students learn the power of real estate investments.

COS has worked with local governments to improve communities by redeveloping commercial and industrial properties.
